In The Mix: September 2011

Woke up this morning to rainclouds and the sound of the storm drain above my bedroom window rattling under the weight of last night’s showers. Yep. Fall finally decided to rear its ugly head. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wishes desperately for eternal summer but I’ll take a few days of other seasons here and there.

This change in season has made me especially itchy for new music. I stumbled across two great mixes on the web this week so I thought I would share!

First up – Quit Mumbling (which is quickly becoming one of my fav daily reads) has the September installment of their monthly mix featuring music from RACES, Kurt Vile, Young Galaxy, Chad Valley, A$AP Rocky, A.A Bondy and more. Download it here.

and you really don’t want to miss Live For The Funks September mix. It’s absolutely perfect for a rainy day like today in Los Angeles. The mix features music from The Internet, Drake, Thundercat, Raleigh Moncrief, Ludacris and more and clocks in at just under an hour making it the perfect length for my daily bus ride.  Download it here.
