I absolutely adore Screaming Females - then I have a soft spot for ladies who rock the 90s leaning alternative power anthems as hard as Marisa Paternoster. The band recently released a new album, Castle Talk, Don Giovanni Records. It’s really something special. Band are playing tonight at The Echoplex with La Sera in Los Angeles. Hope you make it out.
It’s always difficult for me to write about a friend’s band. You always feel like you can’t quite do it justice and at the same time fear that people won’t listen to it out of obvious nepotism.
Well dudes and dudettes – Batwings Catwings slay and their new video for “Endless Summer” just friggin’ rules. It also made me crave a salad for some weird reason. My Old KY Blog said it best:

I know more than a few people who will be jumping up and down with this news. Noah Lennox aka Panda Bear has announced that he will indeed be releasing his much anticipated new album Tomboy April 19th via Paw Tracks.

God I love Hunx and His Punx. Something about his sarcastic totally irreverent tone laid over classic 60s pop. The melody for this song kind of reminds me of the theme song to “Vacation.”
